I am providing a static home camp site here in Spain with Internet
connection. I also offer a VOIP only option, to the non internet
savey. I am probably not interested in re-selling the VOIP accounts,
just wanted a Voip service provider who I could pass the customer
onto, let them open and operate their own Voip account, I just do the
setting up of the Voip adapter for them and I charge them for their
Voip only internet connection. The site is only selling plots to UK
customers, so an english Voip provider seemed obvious. I use Voiptalk
for my own Voip account, so without thinking, I started recommending
this company to my customers.
With the first account we tried to set up with Voiptalk, the first
problem we encountered was as soon as we wanted to pay by credit card,
a screen come up on their web site saying that due to a large amount
of credit card fraud, all new accounts will need to fax a copy of a
bank statement, to verify the card details. Did that, waited for the
web site to say its OK to proceed, nothing. Got in touch with customer
services, they said no fax recieved, blast. Sent fax of bank statement
again, waited for the OK nothing. Got in touch with customer services
again, they said the Voip account details we had entered on the web
site, did not match the name on the card. Turns out they were trying
to match my Voip account with the cutomers account, even though in the
letter which was sent with the second fax, it clearly said which Voip
account the bank statement related to. Waited again for 6 hours,
nothing happened. Phoned customer services, asking to speak with a
manager, after explaining what the problem was, I was told somebody
would ring me back. Nobody rang me back, so I faxed the Voiptalk
office with a letter asking for the contact details of a manager or
director. No reply was forethcoming, but the reseller salesman did
ring by coincidence. He was offering me packages etc, where I could
make a profit on all the calls made, I would collect the money, from
each of the customers, and I would pay Voiptalk £50 a month for 15
concurrent connections. Problem with this offer was that it was £250
to set it up. The other problem is that the camp site (which has 110
plots) is a brand new development, so at this time has only a few
customers on it, so £50 a month is not viable.
The last Big problem for me is, they cannot accept Spanish credit
cards.
Can anybody recommend a decent Voip service provider, who can offer me
EITHER a sensible resellers package OR will open Voip accounts
instantly, even if using a credit card, even Spanish credit cards?
