Default ZyXEL 2602 shows as offline with Sipgate

I've just signed up for a Sipgate account this morning and having mixed and
matched the settings on the Sipgate site, configured my new 2602HWL-61C. I
can receive calls from the PSTN ok and make calls to free numbers (no
credit yet!), but my status on the Sipgate page is always "offline".
Anyone got any ideas?

Router settings are as follows:

SIP Number: <the bit before the @sipgate.co.uk>
SIP Local Port: 5060
SIP Server Address: 217.10.79.219
SIP Server Port: 5060
REGISTER Server Address: 217.10.79.219
REGISTER Server Port: 5060
SIP Service Domain: sipgate.co.uk
User ID: <Same as SIP Number>
Password: <The generic Sipgate one>

SIP Server settings:
URL Type: SIP
Expiration Duration: 3600s
Register Re-send timer: 180s
Session Expires: 180s
Min-SE: 30s

RTP Port Range:
From: 16384
To: 16482

Preferred Compression Type: G.711 > G.729

DTMF Mode: SIP INFO

Cheers,
LJ

Consider yourself ignored ;-)

For info, the "online" indicator on the website only changes once the
server realises that you've not registered for the allotted period, so if
your registration interval is set to say 30 minutes, if you log out (on
the phone/ATA, not the website..!) then the system won't realise you have
done so until the next time it expects you to register (and you haven't),
so it could take up to 30 minutes or so to update.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Ivor

*nodnod* Makes sense.

Are there problems with voicemail? Tried to phone it a few times earlier
to set up a message and got silence. Just received a couple of voicemail
alerts with empty messages. Maybe I need to log out and in again... ;p

Not that I know of, apart from the occasional audio level change, but
AFAIK it's working ok at the moment.

Have you enabled voicemail on the website..? It won't work on the 50000
number until you've done this. Log in and select the voicemail tab at the
top of the screen, then follow the on screen instructions. Make sure you
set the delay until voicemail cuts in to a reasonable figure (20 seconds
or so) otherwise it will cut in without giving you a chance to answer..!

Just in case anyone's Googling, voicemail came to life a while later... ;)
