Default cRTP in 802.11b

Hi

I am doing a final year project which titled as 'voip across 802.11b'
it asks us to improve the voip capacity. Therefore we would like to compress the header so that the overhead will be minimized. However I am not sure whether every 802.11b will support cRTP protocol? Please help.

Thanks
