Some people recommended I get a VOIP line instead of my phone and till be cheaper. And other people are saying Skype. What’s the cheapest way to call to the Philippines? Is VOIP cheaper? | Of course voip will be always cheaper whatever provider you may choose compared with your local phone provider (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, etc)
The big question really is which provider suits you better. Do you call everyday? Do you do long talks? Do you need a VoIP number at the same time or you just need an outgoing calls? Most providers offer yearly plans but if you are not sure you gonna need voip in the next 6 months then you might be signing up for something you will not use later on.
Those things plays part on choosing a voip provider. So its not always a case of who is the cheapest. Pick the one that best suits your calling pattern.
In my case I chose Onesuite because of their pay as you go scheme plus their competitive rates. Also I love the way I can check my account balance online and call history. Calling Philippines from Onesuite (prepaid phone card or voip) is 12.5 cents per minute with 1 minute increment. |
