venture capital and voip

Hello. I am a university student doing a research on the VoIP and Venture Capital and its benefits. I have found a site where they stated a few of its benefits (VOIP and venture capital) - shorten time-to-revenue, increase revenue, low customer acquisition costs, reduce customer churn and a decrease in operating costs.
I am not a expert on this area so I am looking to get more real opinions from the people who are in this industry. I would really appreciate me if anyone could help me and give me their first hand opinions on what are the benefits of Venture Capital & VoIP.
