It all depends on where you're calling. I prefer companies that are pure SIP service providers without any proprietary stuff.

Research the rates for your destinations and sign up for one or more services that suit your needs. For example voipcheap has a decent deal where you get free calls for 90 days to most European countries after you deposit 10 Euros in your account.

I am former SunRocket and they've been giving me good service until someone mismanaged it that lead to their demise. I signed up with Teleblend thinking I'll get the same SR service but I was wrong. Now I read from other forums about Onesuite and I think I'm gonna try them out.

I have used viatalk for a couple of years and like it. It cost me $200. for a year plus on a deal of the month, I got the second year free. I think they have that deal going on now. The only thing I pay for monthly are the 911 fees. Cheap I think $2.50 mth.

Default For do it your self VoIP try IP Comms

If you want a BYOB (Bring your own box) service, IP Communications provides inbound numbers and outbound calling.

They even have a free service that lets you get inbound calling without the outbound for free FREE DID NUMBER

Also, TalkinIP provides really cheap (Pay as you go) outbound calling for SIP devices (BYO.
