Simple solution -- any fax machine will do.
It's your setup that is critical.
When sending, be sure your voip service is set to use g711 as it's a high quality voip codec. If you can't set it manually (like Vonage) make sure you use the online portal to enable BEST Quality.
Second, set your fax machine to "International Mode". This will reduce the baud rate and enable error correction on your fax machine. On my el cheapo Brother FAX 575 (about $20 on sale at office supply stores) I have to enable the International Mode every time I want to fax out, but I get reliable faxing rather than pay for an internet fax service. |
