~1000 ft wireless bridge
I would like to connect the networks of two buildings, which are about 1000 feet apart, and through several brick walls.
What kind of equipment would I need for this?
Note that a wired connection is not an option.
I have heard of a wireless ethernet bridge but I'm not sure if the range is sufficient?
see confiruring a network bridge in how tos, above
Most anything you see on here will be considered best operational with a clear view of the other device. Windows, walls, etc decrease signal. Sometimes it's not enough to matter, but it all adds up, especially with distance.
Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. has some equipment and advice to consider. I've only toyed with the nano2 and so far it seems decent. But they aren't miracle workers, and line of sight is best.
