Hi, I'm currently using a Wireless USB NetGear Adapter, and I can't use certain online programs (gaming) without lag issues unless I take the router away from my sister, which is directly connected to the phoneline. I have a DSL Broadband line. Anyway I was wondering because a friend suggested it:
Q. If I bought another Router/Modem for myself and plug it into the same phoneline and use the same Username and Password, will it work together with me and my sister's Router?
Note
- I have used my sister Router and the lag issues lowers by a lot.
- She cannot use my adapter because her computer is too broken to install it.
- My Router is the WGR614 v6 NetGear.
Q. If 2 Routers do work together does it have to be the same brand or versions?
