Default Access Point for Work

Hello Friends,

I need your suggestion on an 802.11 g Access Point.
At work we need an access point which limites SSID broadcasting to few trusted IP addresses or MAC addresses. It should have the capability of restricting the coverage area as I want it to be limited to our office only. Also it should have some high bit encryption.
Please suggest something which is in budget, may be under 1000 dollars.

Thanks in advance.

It is not up to AP vendor, it is more up to settings you will put on your access point.
If you take Wi-Fi Certified equipment you should not have a problem.
1. You could disable SSID broadcast so only stations with configured SSID could connect to it.
2. Use WPA instead of WEP.
3. Use MAC filtering.
4. If you are dealing with confidential data use also IPsec.

Hello there,

Thanks for the suggestion.
Is there any AP you have in your mind with all these functionalities?
Please suggest if you have any.
