Default Basic of detecting a wireless printer

I have a wireless printer (HP C4795, couple of years old) and have just set it up for wireless configuration. It works fine , wirelessly, using the PC that I initially configured it to use. It also works fine with my Iphone using the Iphone app HP Home and BLZ. I'm stuck on the basics of using the wireless printer with a couple of laptops that my kids use for homework. I am not able to detect the wireless printer. Is it supposed to be as simple as detecting a wireless router, like right clicking and getting a list of Wifi devices within range ? Or am I suppose to physically install drivers for the actual printer on each PC in the house?

My Iphone app automatically detected the printer without me having to do anything. How do I get a laptop to do the same ?

Andy
