Basic wireless setup needed

Hi guys,

Im just in the process of buying a couple of laptops for myself and the mrs, both of which are wireless enabled. I want to be able to extend my home network to include wireless for the laptops.

Currently at home we have two windows machines wired through a DSL-504G 4-port broadband modem/router.

Whats the best way to do this. Ditch the current router, or just go with an Access Point is it? Can anyone recommend a decent one of either for around $150 or less?

We just want access throughout the home, nothing fancy like 30KM's away.

your choice but you could just use a wireless accesspoint / router and plug the modem in to the wan port. or you could get a ADSL wireless modem / accesspoint / router and put a more powerfull antenna and a power booster on as well. depends on how much you want to spend and weather your house is single or split level
