Default Belkin F5D7630uk4A and AOL Problems

Can anyone help? My ISP is AOL and I'm trying to set up a home Wifi using a Belkin F5D7630uk4A as my Router/modem. My PC is some distance from my phone point and the aim is to have the PC as the main wireless terminal. However. While I can get the wireless part to work and get the router to talk to the PC using a Belkin wirelesss adaptor, I can't get the router/modem to speak to the ISP. AOL seems to have another subliminal password that I can't see. The helpdesk have not been much help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
