So i was thinking about implementing a wifi link. i've seen on the web that there was unamplified installations able to establish wifi link for 125 miles.
I'm looking for similar yet professional solution with lowest maintenance required and able to keep stable ling if there's storm
could someone please point me in to right direction ? |
201.168Km = 125miles you can do that by using 2 sattelite dish point to point to each other with direct and clear Line Of Sight (LOS) using a cantenna as a feeder will do much better than using biquad but always remember that you cannot obtain a 100% connection for that distance 35%-50% of signal is better than nothing hehehehe... that is tested here in philippines so i suggested it to you .... also keep im mind that as the signal or wave travels in the air the longer the higher the interference will encountered observe that ...
here in philippines im using 2 linksys wap54g Ver.3 you can update its firmware to hipower or hyperwap im using hipower coz its stable for my AP
the stock linksys is 42mw using hyperwap you can increase it up to 84mw and using hipower you can increase it upto 250mw im using 250 mw for me
WARNING there is a firmware for ver3 hardware check first the hardware ver dont use ver2 formware on ver3 hardware and vice versa
you can use an amplifier to amplify your signal but warning use the correct and low noise amplifier using an amp produces noise that you dont need so i suggest dont use amplifier if you can try it first in stock accesspoint befor using an amp
