Default cannot connect to my wifi router

i have a
tp-link wr541g
dell latitude d600 with 11a/b/g wireless LAN mini PCI Adapter
a ethernet connection

and im trying to connect my tp-link to my ethernet connection so that the connection becomes wireless and i can use internet anywhere in my home

everything was sucessfull and i got connected to internet through the router but it was unsecured .. i didnt want some 1 else using my internet soo i tried securing the network .. i logged in to my router settings i changed the security settings and now im getting this error "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network TP-LINK" and now i cant connect neither i cant log in to the router settings

and when i type ping in command prompt it says request timed out.

help please. thank you in advance.

Without mentioning how you change the security settings, one can only say you have inadvertently made some errors in the settings, like enabling 802.1x authentication. Try hard reset the TP-Link and re-configure again.

how do i hard reset tp link ?

i tried to resetting the router with a pin but its still secured it says "Security-enabled wireless network (WPA)

Have you tried connecting to the router by LAN cable?
