Background: I have mobile laptops that connect back to our AP's at specific corporate locations. Those AP's are restrcited as to who they will allow on the internal network. No issues there...
The problem: When the mobile laptops are away from those designated AP locations, my users are out trying to surf for available wireless networks to get on and mess around with. Is there any way to restrict the local client machines to ONLY access the specific SSID's I create on them (or any way to restrcit/disable the ability for them to search for available networks)? I can use either the built in Microsoft Wireless connectivity feature or I can use the software provided by our wireless card vendor. The card in use is a Proxim/Orinoco Gold 11b/g PC card. The software version in use is 4.1.0.161 from the manufacturer website.
Any help or direction on this matter will be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks in advance...
