connect existing wireless network to extension wireless AP?

I have a working wireless router/network in one building and have leased another within range of the router's wireless signal (there is no hardwired connection between the buildings). Can another wireless AP be configured to pick up the signal from the primary wireless router and propogate the new building?

what you describe is a repeater, or wireless range extender.

which slows the connection at the receiving end. good enough for inventory management, not good enough for streaming video, VoIP or internet games
