I have a question that I hope someone here can help me with. I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to networking.
I have a Netgear WNDR 4500 which is connected to my modem.
On the 5Ghz I have my gaming computer and laptop connected
This leaves my 2.4 Ghz vacant.
I have my old Jensen Air-link 29300 which is 2.4Ghz laying and just collecting dust.
I was wondering is it might be possible to connect the Jensen to my WNDR4500 via wireless so that the devices I connect to my Jensen will have internet access?
The setup I would like to have is this:
/5Ghz - PC and Laptop (wireless)
Netgear WNDR4500
\2.4Ghz - Jensen Airlink -(cabled:BR, Reciever)
Is this possible? I have connected the Jensen to the WNDR4500, but can't seem to get an internet access to the devices that are connected by ethernet cables.
One would believe that setting both routers in bridging mode, and disabling DHCP on router 2 would enable me to do my buisness.. but nay..
Read another post in here that hade a similar problem with the same jensen router. He sat the device to G-mode and that fixed it. I'm gonna try that when I get back home in 3 weeks.
