Default Connection issues with Verizon USB727

Has anyone had an issue with this USB adaptor and connections. It will turn off during operation whether it is idle or transfering data. I went in and turned off the USB power manager and it still shuts off. Verizon has sent me another card and it does the same. I have other devices connected by USB on the other ports (mouse and cooling pad) and I don't have an issue with either of them shutting off. It will start up again just by me disconnecting it and plugging it back in. It will stay connected for about 10 minutes first thing in the morning but the durations shorten as the morning goes on and I will get longer periods of it staying on if I don't use it for at least 30 minutes. I would have said that its a heat issue because of the green light flashing all the time but since it continued acting the same with the new card (not so new, they sent me a remanufactured or used card) from Verizon. I can understand issues with dropped connections but the card completely powering off is another thing. Is there any help out there?
