Create wifi hotspot from laptop tethered to cell phone
I was wondering if it's possible to use a laptop/or computer as a wifi hotspot if the laptop or computer connected to the internet by tethering with a cell phone.
I have a smartphone with a 3g unlimited data plan that I use to connect my home laptop or computer to the internet. I either connect through a cable which creates a dial up tether connection or I use a bluetooth dun that creates a bluetooth network. Now that I'm connected, I want to share my internet connection with my Wii, PSP or another computer by creating a WIFI Hotspot. I also have a wireless router but I don't have a DSL or a cable subscription. Is it possible to reverse the signal back through the router if I reverse wired connect it to the laptop? I maybe reaching on that one.
During my online research I discovered how to turn a laptop to wifi through the laptop wireless adapter but the laptop has to be connected to a LAN line. At the end of the youtube video the guy mentions if you want to connect using a bluetooth network you will need to bridge the bluetooth and wireless connections. I tried that but got an error message. Here's a link to the youtube video, in order to give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.YouTube - Laptop as Access Point For Use With A PSP 1of2
If someone tell me I can not create a wifi connection by using my smartphone tethered laptop and a wifi card or with a connected wireless router that will calm my research nerves, Thanks
