I have a zyxel 661hw wireless adsl modem. I want to distrubute signals from zyxel with dlink. I tried but I could not able to do cos I did not used acess point before and I don't know the settings and what to do so I need your helps. Please help me. What are the setting? and what must I do?
The point of I will put access point; The zyxel signal that I am recieving is too low but I can connect via it to internet. I changed d-links antenne with 7dbi linksys antenne but nothing changed. I changed the wireless pci ethernet card s (d-link g520) antenne with the same linksys antenne but the signal rate is same.
The ZyXEL shouldn't need to support bridge or repeater modes, but the D-Link access point acting as a repeater does. Bear in mind repeating doesn't always work when using different brands of equipment, and a lot of D-Link's access points have mediocre receive sensitivity so this may be a contributing factor.
[b]I called the zyxel technical service and they said "You can not distrubute the signals from zyxel to access point wirelessly cos it don't have Bridge /Repeater setting. You can use it with cable" Maybe they thougt to repeat the signal like an access point. Could you tell me the settings for iD-Link because I want to try one more time. Thanks
