Default D-Link DWL-G520 problems

This is my first post and I apologise if it is in the wrong area. I recently puchasedD-link DWL-650 wirless card and DI-624 wireless router for my cable internet and have had nothing but problems. First was random bsod, which after a reboot provided the following message “ANIWZCS2 Service launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close”
“The System has recovered from a serious error.”
D-link support said they had never seen this error but suggested I install the latest drivers. and also move the card to another pci slot, this was done, however now the system locks up randomly. No bsod, system just freezes. D-Link support say they have no record of this problem and suggest updating the bios, (already running latest). D-Link gives the impression they don't care and I am really desperate for a solution.

cheers

If you uninstall their card/software/drivers does it solve the problem?

Removing the card and uninstalling software, resolves the issue, have rebuilt system (XP Pro 2.5 gig ram) and not installed Wireless card and it runs like a dream. When installed it seems to lock up primarily when reading from dvd drive or doing something that requires a bit of cpu power

Something else, I also tried uninstalling the software and then installing the driver only. It gave me internet access. but then froze and I had to reboot.

Also after logging back in I occasionaly get the following error

“ANIWZCS2 Service launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close”

“The System has recovered from a serious error.”
This happened every time with the original drivers and BSOD, but only randomly with the updated drivers.

cheers

perhaps you have a problem with your PSU (power supply). Sometimes computer s can act weird if it can't get enough power.

Do you have another computer that you can try the wireless card in, or another wireless card?

No other P.C or card, but what you say could be the reason, I am running 4 drives, 2 burners plus a video card off the power supply. that a lot for it to handle. I may be pushing it a little too hard. Might be time to upgrade it. I will disconnect some things and try it. Will let you know.

cheers and thanks

What size is your power supply? That does sound like a lot
