Guys

I have two Dlink DWL-2100AP which I wish to use between to points in our warehouse. The distance is about 90meters, and there is line of site between where the two points are.

What i need to get working ASAP is simply an extension of the exisiting network, which I believe will be pretty easy, at one end (lets call this A) the AP will be connected to the Network Switch, and the other end (lets call this the AP will be connected directly to a PC, and will be used to provide the PC with access to the network.

Now, will the DWL-2100AP be able to perform in workshop ok over this distance (the work shop is an engineering workshop, so there are welders etc running. The building is unlined, and is finished in iron.

And secondly, is there anyway to run these two access points so other wireless devies such as laptops, PDA's etc could connect to them, as well as doing the bridging option I refered to above?

Now lastly, when I am connected to the DWL-2100AP, is there any reason why I can connect to a VPN?? If I take the DWL-2100AP out of the question and connect directly to my ASDL router every thing works fine, but wireless they Phase 2 authenications fails...

Thanks for any help you can provide me

I would say that is it best to have then really line of sight, ie both on the building exterior (waterproofed ofcourse). If you want them to be connected to each other as a bridge and to have other clients then you need to put them in WDS mode, if they supprt that.

VPN... shrug.
