Enhancing A Wireless Network

I just setup a wireless network, and it's great and all. I am running a wireless adapter through USB, and the adapter picks up the signal. But, while in games, it glitches a lot.

Is there a program I can d/l that will enhance my wireless network or something that keeps my network from glitching?? I just don't wanna glitch in counter strike.

Try different encryption settings as some cheap wireless gear does this with WPA. Also try changing channel to see if there is an interference problem. If the signal is weak, try adding a slightly higher gain antenna to the access point or router.

Some really cheap wireless gear I have seen does this often just through poor design, so if none of the above work maybe it's time to try a different USB adapter.
