Equipment for public WLAN internet access
I'm hired by the local tourist organisation to set up open, free to use, public internet access with WLAN on some chosen spots in my village here in Norway. There are some requirements though, and I'm looking for a solution/equipment to meet the requirements, which are:
- The WLAN is supose to be open, but before a user can start using the internet, he/she must pass a start page. It should just be a single html site, with some information and a "Go" button to "activate" the internet access. After some time, i.e. 20 minutes, the user will have to pass this page again to continue using the net.
- The router should have a firewall that can denie all access through other ports than e.i. 80, 81, 110, 143 and 25 (only web and email access is granted).
- A possibility for website filtering (to avoid access on "bad" pages) would be nice to have...
I am thinking of setting up a network of access points that communicates with a main router, that has these functions. But I have no idea what kind of router sollution to choose... would a router with OpenWrt and NoCatAuth meet the requirements? Or should a go for some other sollution?
