Hi I'm new to wireless and i'd like to know how the physical and application layers of the 5 layer reference model can vary from wired to wireless networks

No big changes, as long as everything is working properly. Physically, the user hardware is more mobile, often connects at different nodes, and of course has a radio transmitter/receiver.

The "Transport" layer becomes a bit more complicated. The "Application" hasn't changed much.
