Default Hot Spot Management Software

Our remote northern, satellite fed, small Wi-Fi network hot spot is wide open and anyone with a WiFi card can access the Internet. Can someone recommend a simple and inexpensive WiFi management software system that would allow us to grant temporary, time limited access to transient users and limit their maximum amount of data downloaded? Looking for Wi-Fi access control software, Wi-Fi management software, wifi hotspot control software.

What you're asking for is software that has to be done at the router level – that means firmware. dd-wrt is a popular open option.

I actually work for a company that makes WiFi hardware (and really nifty software) that does precisely what you want. Give us a look: Meraki: Wireless Networks that Simply Work
In the interests of full disclosure: I work for Meraki which does cloud controlled networking.

Default Me too

I have been scanning the net for something simalar. My email of requirements that I have been sending of as requirements are posted below. I am open to offers and suggestions:

I am looking to purchase hardware/software to enable me to run
Wireless Internet Access (Hotspot) locations. What I am after

100% ownership. No you get 50% and I get 50%. I want the server
to be in my data centre

The server to be one only. Meaning I want the system to be able to be
flashed on to routers, posted out to locations, plugged in and they
will come up and operate and talk back to a central location. I
do not want to have to install a PC or SERVER at each location

Intergrated payment with Paypal

some nice features would be

To be able to tell where (which hotspot) the new users joined at

To be able to have location branded login page. Meaning when the user
is down say at the coast, they might see an add for the local surf shop
and when they are up in the snow locations, they see adds for the ski hire

I would also like to have an internet table here and there with say coin slots
and if at all possible, the same billing package but this may be a total
dream. I am happy if that is a seperate package
