how to.. wireless router to share internet from host that's on wireless internet

BASICS: home computer using Win 7... already accessing wireless internet signal via Netgear wireless adapter... wants to hook up Netgear wireless router to share that internet access with a another computer

obviously the usual setup is a host computer that is hooked up to cable internet access, then shares it to other computers via a wireless router

but i'm not having luck trying to set it up where the host computer is in itself accessing the internet via a public wireless signal... the slave computer connects to my router's wireless signal just fine, but can't access the internet through it (that my host computer is picking up)...

is it that i don't have some of my settings set up correctly, or is it that the architecture or software just doesn't allow it?

You first use a computer connection line, and then open my computer, in the address bar enter the IP address of the router (router above some), into the router Settings (specific details forgot), set up a wireless router passwords.
