Exclamation I was able to, now I am not! WHY!!

I have a Broadcom 802 card, I was able to connect to my wireless router. I messed up something with viruses and stuff. I decided to format my computer.
Now that I did, I cant see the router in my range (IM NEXT TO IT! less than a feet)
Why??
Any troubleshooting steps?? I really need help, I dont like being wired with a laptop!

(other computers can connect to router, so its not the router)
I can see my card, so its not the drivers. Maybe the configuration...
something about wireless zero i think.... please help!!

Installed Wireless devices
Wireless LAN On
Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN

Bluetooth On
HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless Technology

I figure out I have to change the wireless configuration but I have no clue of what do to argg =(
