Modifying Belkin router for more range
I have got a PC on the limit of connectivity and are looking for suggestions and examples for increasing the power/reception capabilities of the adsl modem/wireless router Belkin 9630.
I am thinking of two mods to try.
1: Make a parabolic reflector to wrap around the aerials on the focal point to push the signal in one direction.......Any thoughts or examples!
2: Change the two standard aerials for 7dB items.....Requires making a new rear panel for the Modem and rewiring the link to the PCB!
I know the mod your speaking but I've never tried it personally. But I know directional antennas give it nice little boost usually. If you have a link to a website detailing with pictures. Please post, I'd be interested to see.
