This is my first forum post so I'm gonna introduce myself first.
I am from london, primary career is the Private Security Industry, where I work as a security trainer and a night club doorman (or bouncer to some). I teach people self defence and requirements to become SIA Licensed. I am also a mature university student where I study Performance Sound (gigs and stuff).
Right, now to the important matter!
I need some help with my router which is a F@ST2504n (sky)
I am not sure if everything can be done, but I would really love to do it. One of my house mates uses and Xbox and destroys our internet connection, it has come to a house decision to block the xbox from connecting to the internet, however asking him to not use xbox live isn't seeming to work. I need to set up a router rule to prevent xbox live connecting.
However been able to block an IP address may be more beneficial to us.
Its extreme measures I know but its 5 vs 1 so gotta be done.
Secondly, is it possible to block torrents. I have personally punched in a few things on the block sites list (pirate bay, torrentz, etc etc) but is there a way to set a rule to block torrent things at all. If not, is it possible to limit download limit per IP address? (so that we can try and block as much as possible, but then limit download speed of anything that gets through).
Looking forward to your responses, if you do have solutions for me, please remember that I don't know much about programming wi-fi and computer related lingo!
