Default Point to Point Wireless Help

Hi. I just need a simple solution to a simple problem but everywhere I look it's overcomplicated. I need to provide an internet connection to another building which is around 200 meters away from the source building. The area does not allow for running cable so it has to be wireless. I know there has to be a simple point to point system to shoot the signal to the other building. I'm not trying to establish an elaborate network, I just need to get the internet to that building where there will be two terminals operating off of it. Someone please help me! Thanks.

What you need are bridges with high gain directional antennas. You will probably also need a router to be able to share the bridge between two computers.

You also need a clear line of sight between the two antennas. Buildings and trees would kill the connection.

just get some used satellite dishes(ask any dealer/installer, they get lots from upgrades which include new dishes w/ dual LNA's)
get a couple of wifi bridges which have Power Over Ethernet, and then install them into the dishes where the LNA's are supposed to be(precisely where the face of the LNA was). that will be good for several KM's. D-link makes a directional antenna with a magnet-mount that is fantastic for installing on a dish because it focusses all the power at the dish instead away from the dish, so you can get many times the power again, should you need it. the dlink antenna will also come with a 6 foot cable so that the bridge can be mounted in a safer place away from the sun/rain.

I use a single dish at one end of a 2Km link with the D-link feedhorn, and an ordinary access point with stock omni antenna 30 feet up the side of a tower for the other end and the link signals show -25 signal strength!

hope that helps
