Default Problem with WAP55AG, diag light constantly on

I can access this unit through my BEFSR41 v .2. I can use its web interface and configure it to my heart's content. I can ping the access point continuously, change its IP, etc etc etc.

But I can't see the network using my DLINK DWL-G122 usb wireless adapter. I can see the neighbours' networks though! ANyways, I have my router running a. cable to a Linksys SD205, and then the wap off of that.

Last night I was able to get on the net for a very short period of time with the wap when I plugged the cable directly from the router into the wap. But then moments later I lost connection.

Right now it is sitting there, I can see it on the network through the sd205, the red diag light is on constantly, and the 54g link light is on. The LAN link/act is blinking normally, full/col link is contant green, and my 100 light is orange.

What am I doing wrong? I leave the wireless settings on default, I change my ssid, leave it on static IP....

Any help would be great. BTW the wap has the latest firmware. (2004 ?!?!)

thanks guys
