Default Question

I bought a laptop and router about 2 years ago. I use my laptop in my garage where I have my own little "getaway". The garage is located about 100 feet from the house. The signal is weak (2 bars) but usable. Lately when I try to connect up I get 7 other wireless signals. Only 2 are secured. Is there anyway to find out who has these networks? The signals are all weak (1 bar).
If I take the laptop and walk around the area (360 degrees) I lose these signals.
I've asked my neighbors all around and nobody has any wireless networks. Could these be skip signals? It seems I have to be in one certain area or I lose them? The domain name and IP address are listed so I was wondering if there is a way to find out who they are? Thanks, Collieman

No. That happens in the HF frequency band. This is microwave. Whole different thing.

That makes sense but I'm still wondering how I'm receiving these signals. My nearest neighbors don't have wireless and the houses across the interstate highway are at least a 1/4 mile or more away. I would think they would be out of range. I could always go over and ask I guess.
