"Qwest DSL Modem w/Wireless Gateway" does this mean my DSL router is wireless capability? My Qwest DSL account is active, but I am not able to detect any wireless network when I tried to do a discovery on my laptop. Currently, my laptop has a built-in wifi 54G interface. And I often used it at my local coffee shop.
Normally, I can see surrounding networks if there any on my laptop or my local coffee shop.
Am I missing something here? Do I need another wireless router working conjunction with my DSL router for it to work?
Anyone here has tried using this Qwest wireless router as wireless?
Try logging into the device's web administration page and see if there is an option to enable wireless. Most wireless routers allow the wireless component to be disabled, and perhaps yours has had this done from factory as a security measure.
