So my bro-in-law just bought and renovated a large house. He had CAT5 wired to the 3 floors and he wants wirelsss connectivity throughout the house without any poor reception or dropped connections. What is the best way to do this?
I was going to suggest buying a few belkin N wireless routers (because I have used them with good results). One router would be in the phone/network closet in the basement connected to his cable modem and that would be his firewall. I would then use 2 other belkin N routers purely as access points (routing capabilties turned off) and put one on each floor.
I think this should work for him, however can anyone suggest better solutions?
Thanks,
John
