Setup D-Link DWL-g700ap to work as a repeater

Well i got the following problem i am trying to setup the dlink700ap to work as a repeater to boost my wireless signal from Gigaset se555 router.


I did the following:
Connected to se555 and added MAC adress of the dlink to WDS
Connected the Dlink to PC and setup it so it works in repeater mode(when i go to site survey it finds the signal of the gigaset i click select but nothing happens when i click connect)
Dlink has DHCP disabled and the button for enable is grayed out,the gigaset has DHCP turned on,Dlink got his IP from DHCP on gigaset.
The laptop is recognizing the boosted signal and it connects no problem,after i do a IPscan and find out which ip it has assigned i can ping the Dlink np(but i cannot ping the Gigaset router-has a static IP)

Anyone has any tips on what i am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated
