 Two desktop computers connect to Buffalo WHR-HP-G54, but laptop doesn't...
Hey guys! I was hoping to figure out what I'm doing wrong in trying to connect to my new wireless router with my laptop. 
My boyfriend's computer is wired to the router, so of course it works. I got a PCI adapter (also from Buffalo) for my desktop computer, and it is catching the signal and connected fine. But my laptop (a Compaq Presario V2000) won't connect to the network. When I try to connect, in the Buffalo wireless client it stalls at "starting connection," and in the Windows wireless manager it stalls on "acquiring network address." 
If it matters, we have installed DD-WRT firmware on the router. Let me know if you need any more info.. and thanks! |
