Vaio does not connect wireless
Can anyone help,
I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop VGN-NR21M a couple of weeks ago and also got Internet through tISCALI wireless - they have sent me a Siemens Gigaset SE 587 box - loaded everything - and it was fine wireless worked for approx an hour last night - I left the laptop on whilst cooking and it went into hibernation - when i woke it up the connection was off, tried to reconnect but keeps saying i need to switch on wi-fi button which is in the on position but no light.
I rebooted, switched modem off & on again, the wireless on the laptop is definetely ON (even though the light is off, except when the laptop is logging on).
My flatmate has NO problems connecting wireless; I can connect to the internet with the yellow cable, but not wireless - apparently the laptop cannot detect any network.
I have tried telephoning tiscali helpdesk but they don't understand what the problem is - they told me to contact Sony.
Any help will be very appreciated, but please try to explain in plain english as IT is not my strong point.
