Very Bad connection through moden to ps3(URGENT)

hi my internet speed on my computer is 30mg but i mostly want it for my playstation3. when i do the the speed test on playstation it says no connection but it does find 100% when i search for it. i havint been able to play all day its just very laggy every game can anybody help please?

Are you trying to connect through wifi or through a wire? Your post is not very clear.
