wireless bridging or extending

the scenario:
neighbor has wifi on motorola modem/router(4 port).
our place is about 1000 feet away, with a house in between.
line of sight could be achieved quite easily I believe.
I would like to have a wifi router at our place(wrt54g) connected possibly through a wireless bridge to theirs.
I do have 2 linksys WAP54G units that I could use.
whats the best way to accomplish the wifi sharing?
