When trying to find faults on a wireless network first of all disable any encryption and MAC filtering and then see if the system works.
According to a previous post the BT Home Hub comes with encryption and MAC filtering enabled so:-
1. Turn off the encryption.
2.Disable MAC filtering by changing the Hub settings to "allow all wireless connections"

If you can now access the Internet enable encryption, preferably WPA or WPA2.
