Got any b or g wap/routers handy? Can you change the timeout time to long instead of short? Most computers are b or g only, and N usually can't be used anyway...
Odd thing about how the routers seem (technically not right, but trying to get the idea/effect across).... Essentially the beam from the wap goes in a circle, so whatever direction it is at at the moment will get the full signal, others will get a lower power/quality signal until the beacon comes back it's way again (think of a lighthouse, beaming the strongest light beam, when it is pointed your way, but not as bright when it goes around the rest of the circle... That's basically how the N stuff seems (not technically works, but seems)... Many laptops have built in wifi stuff, and you can adjust the timeout times so when the beam is pointing elsewhere, it doesn't disconnect before the beam comes back and you get a full signal again.....
if xp, and intel/proset/wireless, do the properties on the wireless screen/advanced/agressiveness - you can uncheck the box and set the slider to lower ((it's in the middle))... Fraid anything else, can't give you step by steps, but it should be something similar....
