Unhappy wireless software "gives up" too easy

hi all,

I am using a standard wireless client that comes with fujitsu laptops (odeyssy).

when I get somewhere and turn the laptop on , it tries to connect to the first open network it sees , usually getting a "limited or no connectivity" message.

but then it just stays that way , forcing me to go through the whole list of networks manually , until I get one that is "truly open".

isn't there a client that just goes through all networks and tries to ping Google or something , and only if successful stops searching?

thanks for your time,

Tom.S.

There's both free and paid software that will do exactly that... Think of those as state of the art.. Unfortunately, the freebie that comes with the fuji is more akin to "slug of the art"...
