i am planning to connect many slave devices to one master device via wlan.
Can i use wlan client adapters for both master and slave or only for slave device and for a master i should connect a wlan access point.
There would be multiple salves communicating with one master but no slave cannot communicate with each other.

Within the wireless domain, a "master" is an access point (AP) and the "slaves" are clients, customer premise equipment (CPE), Stations (Ubiquiti term), or Subscriber Modules (Motorola/Cambrian Canopy name).

CPE's associate with APs. If you turn n client isolation at the AP, then clients can't connect to each other (which I think you want).
